Speaker 1:Okay, so welcome Gina. We're going to kind of dive right into things, just talking about your experience with the liberated legacy mastermind. We're nearing the end, actually at the end of our six months time together at this point, and so maybe let's just kick it off with a little bit about who you are, what you do and if you can even think back that far, back to December, when you stepped into this mastermind. What compelled you to join at that time?
Speaker 2:Awesome. Well, thank you for having me. Okay, so where do I start? So I'm Gina, I am. So I used to be the spiritual planner, now it's doing and co events. So even there, there is a evolution that happened in the last six months. I'm an event planner, I do support my clients throughout the whole process of event planning, and this also in an energetic way and it's due. I do conferences, I do business retreats, but I also do weddings and some event design. So it's all about the experiences, it's all about the energy around it, and that is where I help a lot with my clients.
Speaker 2:But six months ago, why I wanted to jump in here is I'm a very organized and methodical person, I would say, as an event planner. So kind of the business side I, you know, I knew what I needed to do. I knew kind of those steps. However, it's more of the energetics, the blocks and those things that I needed to support on, which is where it got really perfect with the alignment with liberated legacy mastermind, because that's kind of where I got that support and, surprisingly, I knew there were some things to me that needed to be cleared, but I didn't know what. Right, I had no idea, but I can point it on. I just knew that sometimes I'd have plateaus and I'd stop and I'd be like I don't know what to do next.
Speaker 2:I kind of or just the ways of being an entrepreneur also of yeah, everything's going great and then crashed like nothing's going great and I was overwhelmed, stressed out, blah, blah, blah. So it's also having that support to lean on, because you are so you're alone for a part of your journey right as an entrepreneur. So having that support really is why I reached out and I just felt called to it as well. So I kind of just leaned into that and followed my intuition and kind of had no expectations on showing me how to do things, but more of expectations of holding me throughout the process and I wouldn't, shouldn't say expectations, but that kind of what I was desiring and that's also what I got.
Speaker 1:So, yeah, oh, I love that, and you touched on just so many pieces.
Speaker 1:But I think the being alone piece, especially in navigating those ups and downs, is just such a.
Speaker 1:I think it's something that a lot of us resonate with and sometimes we don't even necessarily realize it until we get into a space where it's like, oh okay, I'm actually just having a shit day and I can drop into Voxer and say, hey, I'm feeling this way and nothing's working and I want to burn my business down and also I might want to murder my partner and da, da, da. Like you know, you can just like let it out, be seen in it and like move through it really quickly, which is something that I noticed with you. It's like as soon as we would have like a quick, even two messages back and forth, and then you'd circle back in the afternoon and be like okay, I'm good, we're good, we can move forward, we cleared that. And it's amazing just just how having that support can do that, where otherwise it kind of festers like you can like you can journal it or it fasters, and you're just like then it's three days drawn out instead of three minutes in a voice message.
Speaker 2:Yeah, definitely, and sometimes you would just ask a question and it would my brain would go and then just kind of answer itself and then I would be like, oh, we're cleared, we got it. No.
Speaker 1:Yeah, exactly, I think having people hold space for our evolution is one of the most powerful things, whether that's one-on-one mentorship or whether that's the group experience like what we had. I would love to hear you just talk more about the pieces that you felt like maybe stood out to you. You know, we obviously did like our monthly call in the records and we cleared a lot of stuff and, like you said, a lot of it was like unexpected stuff that came up and I'm just curious if there's like one specific thing and you don't need to go into detail about what the thing was specifically, but just maybe one block, if you speak of it in a more generalized sense, that you feel like we really dug through some layers on and how that opens stuff up for you.
Speaker 2:Yeah, definitely. I would say I can't recall which one specifically it was like I don't even remember the whole process, but I remember that it was about money. It was a block and like always feeling lack, always feeling that kind of that life. And what happened is, once we cleared that, I just saw myself step into my pricing a lot more easily and confidently, and it came with time, but it didn't take that much time. So it kind of like collapsed the timeline as, when I think of it at the beginning of the year, I was thinking like, are people even going to pay me for this service? And now it's more of like well, they're going to have to pay me. Well, they're not, like, this is what I offered, this is the price. If they don't like this price, well, then find somebody else. And I feel comfortable with that, knowing that I will have business, I will have other people, because there is like the money is out there, there are the clients, the right clients, and it kind of like it cleared that, okay, I have to grip on.
Speaker 2:Any client that shows up is now it. Well, if it's not meant to be, it's not meant to be, and we go on to the next one Like, for example, I just there's a client that I sent them a quote and it was for like five figures. And once I sent it, I was like, oh, I don't know anymore, like it didn't, it fell off. And then when they came back and they were like, actually no, I was like, thank God, like it. Just. Instead of being like, oh, my God, well, I should have had that contract. Because, blah, blah, blah, it was more like nope, it wasn't aligned.
Speaker 2:And it was not not aligned because of the pricing, but like energetically, I was like no, we're not going to work together, it's not going to work well, so that kind of you know, I'm starting to get to notice those things. But it also removed the fear aspect of the money so that I can notice those things. So, instead of just thinking about the price tag and I'm thinking about like, is this going to bring like growth to my business? Is this the right client I want to work with? Like, will this bring me more pain than joy? And like all these things?
Speaker 2:As at the beginning it was all about numbers, right, it was. I need money, I need this, and by like, by all means, I'm not making millions here, but I, when I make like, when I sell or when I have these packages and I create these events and these experiences, I know that they are fully aligned and that I will serve my clients as the best I can, because I'm really excited about the project, which is huge for an event like this. I don't know if that answered your question, but it went into a lot of details.
Speaker 1:No, no, it was perfect. And yeah, I think that's something that a lot of entrepreneurs can resonate with. There's that point in time where you're like, oh, is my pricing too high? Maybe you like roll it back, you still get the no. Then it means something about the viability of your business or your worthiness, or you know whether or not your business is going to succeed.
Speaker 1:You know all of these stories that we give meaning to and when you can really separate from that on those deeper energetic levels again, like this wasn't mindset work that we were doing. You know the little voxer chats along the way. Maybe we're just reminders, but a lot of it was cleared at that deeper level where we're not carrying that stuff forward anymore, we're really just letting it go. We're just shedding those layers of. This means that, or this equals that, or being told no means I'm not worthy, or someone not being able to afford it means I'm too expensive, or you know those types of beliefs.
Speaker 1:We really get to dive deeper into that and choose to let those go, and I love the way that that's played out and it reminds me of was it a couple weeks ago, maybe a month ago at this point, when you reached out and I think you had turned down something, or there was some opportunity that came along that you're like this isn't quite right, and then you turned it down. And then there were like two or three more opportunities that came like within what was it? A few days or a week? And you're just like in voxer, like what the heck? Like what's going on? Yeah, do you want to talk just a little bit more about that, if anything's coming up?
Speaker 2:Um, well, I feel like I touched on that, but it definitely was kind of that piece of knowing what I want to work on and but it came with with like learning right, because throughout the process, at one point I was exhausted and I was like, danielle, I don't get it, why am I exhausted? Like I have all these amazing things. And then we touched in and it was like, oh, I have to do above and beyond all the time. And then, and like that was another belief, but like once we passed that and I was able to be like, no, this is my mandate, I'm sticking to my mandate. And like, if there's clients that showed up and they were not aligned with my mandate and I was to know, and I think that's kind of what happened at that point, um, yeah, that's exactly what happened. I was not part of like what I wanted to work on.
Speaker 2:And then the week after, or not even just a couple of days after, I met like three other people like this new clients, the clients that were not signing yet actually all signed, and like it just all came in because I was true to like my vision and to my but don't get me wrong, I was kind of tempted at a point because I was like, oh, I have to do this, I have to help and blah, blah, blah. But then it kind of when we got came back and we really felt into it and cleared that and I was like, no, actually this is not a line, I'm not doing this, and it just all came through and it just reminds you how in business and in life because it can happen for regular life things as well as that when you go back and you really remember what your why or where you're going, then things just get clear and like you attract the right things at that point.
Speaker 1:Yeah, 100%. And it's always so fun from the outside perspective, I'm sure even from the inside perspective but like watching the universe, like swirl around in this vortex that you've created, and just be like, oh good job, like you turned down what you said you didn't want, like here's a reward of three times that.
Speaker 2:Thank you, I'm a gold star Yay.
Speaker 1:That's awesome. Yeah, we'll keep this short because I know I mean, you don't have a ton of time. I'm sure the people watching or listening to this probably don't have a time either, but let's just close this out. Well, there's probably a couple more things, but when we look at the tangible side, I mean, when you stepped in, you had just taken leave from your job and you were like I have a year to make this work and the time starts now is basically where you came into this mastermind. And so how have the tangible shifts as far as, like, the reality of not going back, or considering the reality of not going back? How has that like scope of possibility shifted, even just in your own mind and also just financially? Like how much closer do you feel to meeting that goal by, you know, a few months down the road at this point?
Speaker 2:That's a great question because, yeah, when I started I had just left my corporate job and kind of was Starting from scratch. There was like really starting from the bottom and just going from there. It's been a year of a lot of pivoting and clarity for that, because I'm like every time kind of getting clearer, but financially it's been the clearer I got, the better I would say the finances got. At first they started off like very low and then there's some peaks and then and now it's just consistently growing. So that's great. I'm Like right now I'm projecting because we still have what four months, four and a half months to the air, so a lot of things can happen. But in my projections I am Almost right now attaining my goal with the clients that I have Presently. So that's really good Um for me. I'm like pleased with that, especially that at the beginning of the year I kind of like shot that number out in the sky. But it had no idea if it was like I'm really sorry from zero, right, it's not even if I had some recurring clients that you know I was halfway there. No, I was like at zero. So that's really good and Tangibly, I would say it's just like like a lot of clarity also on the business. It's almost At first I had a lot of pressure like, okay, this has to work and I have to build, and I have to scale and I have to.
Speaker 2:And now it's kind of More, because at one point I was tired, sick and tired of pivoting and changing and modifying. I'm like can't I just be stable and just grow? But it also showed me of, like, what I really want to do, what I don't want to do, and it was like a learning year, a test year where I could do all those things. And because I was also supported when I was. When I fell back down, I wasn't just digging a hole, right. I was like, okay, how can I get back up? And that's also like what brought me in where I'm at today. And now, with the projects that I have, now that I'm really excited to work on, and even if I get overwhelmed sometimes and that's normal it's it's getting clearer and clearer and it's just a testament to this is what I was going to do, right. So, yeah, everything's kind of aligned, I would say for that even there's circumstances for everything. But, like, this has definitely been a year of Clarity and eye-opening for a lot of things. Yeah, I love and I.
Speaker 1:Feel like the pieces that have come through.
Speaker 1:You know the clarity, what you want, what you don't want, what you're willing to To stand for or tolerate what you're willing to do. You know what the scope of your work is, what is not. All of these pieces have created such a beautiful foundation of sustainability and it was really like when those pieces started to lock in and you're like no, I'm not available for this anymore. I'm not doing that anymore. I'm not gonna be the servant, I'm not gonna like sacrifice myself In order to please clients anymore. Like all of those, like different pieces that that all wove together, that we've sort of touched on throughout this entire thing, have Really created, like I said, just that sustainability and I think that's opened you up to more growth, to more opportunities and Maybe just for your own sake, if you're open to sharing what's coming this fall, yeah, I think it's exciting and I think a lot of our demographic in my world anyway, are at the age, at the stages of their lives, where this could serve them. So maybe just share a little bit about that.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I can definitely share about that. So, um, how could I? How do I start? Well, so I've been an event planner for 12 years about now, yeah, about and my first years were as a wedding planner and I had put I did that for five, six years and I had put that aside when I went to corporate world. And now, with my newly engagement, I dumped back into that world and remembered how much I love it. So when I was mentioning about pivoting and doing those, noticing what you like, what you don't like, that was kind of another pivotal moment for me. And it's also a moment that made me realize and I had all these conversations with Danielle like, okay, what do I want my, what do I want my family life to look like eventually down the road? So I started thinking about different options and, with the financial situation now, I wanted to be able to open my scope of clientele and kind of serve a little bit of everyone. And, with that being said, I'm working on it right now to develop the platform and all the things.
Speaker 2:So it's, it's, we're in the juice of it but a virtual wedding planning services and that would segue eventually to the virtual event planning and that's not having virtual weddings. It's just kind of having a wedding planner in your back pocket. So when you're planning your wedding you have access to all the tools, but sometimes it's kind of like this, the mastermind. You want to have, that support, you want to have, you know, just somebody that's holding you when you have those questions. And trust me, I am in the process now with my fiancee and even as a wedding planner.
Speaker 2:Sometimes I'm like, oh, I just want somebody to be like, this is my brain, this is my thought process, this is what we're doing. Like, am I? What am I missing? Or is this okay? What is this? Because, like, when you're in it, you're, you're emotionally invested, so it's so much. It's which is fun for me because it's a learning process as well, because I'm like, oh, okay, I'm living it now. So now I can like really tell my clients, like I know what you feel. But so it's having that back pocket kind of you know invocs or by email, to be able to reach out and process things together and take those decisions, because they are somewhere small, some are big, but some will have an impact, some, emotionally, will trigger you. So it's having that support, but in a kind of a different I would say more accessible price points. So yeah, that's what I'm working on. I think you were talking about that, right? Oh, yeah.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that's exactly what I was going for. Yeah, and you have such a beautiful way Like. The thing that I love about getting that outside perspective with a planner is like you really think of every detail. You know you're able to put yourself in the venue and visualize what's going on and because of that, like your attention to detail and those types of pieces get to kind of fall into place. So, even virtually, it's like there's so many things that the average person would overlook that you can really just like make it something that is so memorable and also so like smooth flowing and who doesn't want their wedding day to go as smoothly as humanly possible?
Speaker 2:That is the dream.
Speaker 1:Right, like it's that thing that you want to be able to enjoy. So if you have a planner sort of set the stage for that to help that go smoothly so that you can actually enjoy the day that you're spending, you know, tens of thousands of dollars on, all the better.
Speaker 2:And like I can attest to that because I even have a wedding planner. So like that's what I do, and I still have one, because I'm like I don't want to deal with it the day of. I want to make sure that I'm present, exactly what I tell my clients. So I'm like, no, if that's what I'm telling my clients, well then I should do it, because you know, I'm not telling it just because it is, and telling it because it's the best option to be present.
Speaker 1:Yeah, absolutely that is. The foundation is to be present at your events, right like that's always what you've gone for. It's about the experience, not only for the guests but also for the host, whether that's, you know, retreats, conferences, whatever it's like you're there to hold those pieces, which is so, so needed in so many situations. Okay, last question what would you say to someone who is debating stepping into this round of the mastermind?
Speaker 2:You don't know what you don't know. So you might think that you're all healed and you have all your tools and you have your business is clear and all those things, but you don't know the blocks you have until you know right. So you don't know what you don't know. And that's one thing that I really realize at what point how that really helped, because you can't imagine it right. You can see some know, you can kind of see some tend and that tendencies sometimes or some patterns or things like that, but you don't know where. You don't always know where it stems from. And being guided will definitely help you and it's. Everybody needs support. So if you're called to it, jump in. It's worth it 100%.
Speaker 1:Oh, thank you, I appreciate that. Yeah, no, it's, it really is. That's why I love the record so much and I'm sure you're like at a point to where you're just like you know, our last one on one sessions on Wednesday and you're probably like, let's go, let's see how we close this out right, because we really don't know, going in, what's going to come up, and it's always just so perfect and timely, yeah, awesome. Well, thank you so much for your time. If anyone wants to connect with Gina, where can we find you?
Speaker 2:I would say Instagram is the best option right now and it's a Gina co events, so that's my handle and soon there will be a wedding one, but right now that's the one that has it all. And, yeah, I'd be happy to chat and connect and you can add me or send me a DM.
Speaker 1:Perfect. Yeah, definitely go check out Gina at Gina co events. And yeah, thanks again for your time. I am so appreciative and I will let you go now.
Speaker 2:Thank you. It was awesome and the mastermind is definitely worth it, so I recommend it to everyone.
